Joseph Harris, II

The Player’s Podcast host is Joseph Harris, II, a Lamar University graduate with overseas basketball experience. Joseph and his team have more than 15 years of experience in basketball, recruiting and financial aid for college. His experience is about equal between 1 on 1 training and team coaching from the varsity level down to middle school.

A parent once told him that just because a player had great ability on their field of play, that doesn't mean that they can pass that on and teach it to a student. That same parent also told him that if a coach or trainer starts off talking about themselves and "dropping too many names and trophies", run the other way because they may feel it's all about them and not the student-athlete. Joseph was floored and temporarily at a loss for words, but he learned a valuable lesson: It's more important that he displays a track record to translate knowledge of the skill at hand than to be able to do it himself no matter how well he did.

The Player’s Court Podcast will serve as a platform for him, as well as current college players, to give insight to players that wish to be on their varsity team ahead of schedule, or one day play at the college level.
